ARNHEM EASTER WEEKEND

APRIL 5th-9th 2007

Doreen and I, with our friends, John and Betsi had a fantastic trip to Arnhem. I would like to thank our Dutch colleagues for their great organisation.

Herman and Olga te Boekhorst for the original idea of the visit and their museum tours.

Ben Schoonbeek (driving a borrowed very original one owner Vitesse) for his trip down the Rhine and arranging a superb guided tour of Nijmegen with Ben de Paauw. This was a terrific day out, enjoyed by everyone.

Bert Bouvee (he of the Dutch ‘write ups’ in our magazine) who arranged for The Fellows to play at our Saturday evening dinner. A special thank you – they were superb.

Finally to the veterans and the ladies at the Navyveteranclub at Nijmegen who made us a wonderful lunch on the Sunday, especially to the ‘Admiral’ who welcomed us with such a humorous speech.

Please accept my apologies if I have missed anybody out, if I have then thank you as well for making this such a successful weekend.

Finally, to the Triumph contingent who made the trip, without you these events wouldn’t take place, many thanks, a total of 29 people making the trip makes it all worthwhile. Hopefully you can all be persuaded to go to Bonn next Easter.
